Having a development or a test server for Siberian can be very useful. It will allow you to test updates, modules, custom developments on this server instead of on your production server.
It is possible to set up a development / test Siberian following those rules:
– Domain name for development / test Siberian must be obviously for test purpose like dev.mydomain.com or test.mydomain.com
– Development / test Siberian must be on the same server as the production one
– There is no support for development or test, you have to be able to restore it to a previous version in case you have an issue on it.
