Here are the software and hardware requirements to run Siberian properly:
Domain/URL requirements:
- A domain or a subdomain name is required: Siberian can’t work with an URL such as https://www.domain.com/apps/, instead you have to use https://apps.domain.com
Software requirements:
- Supported OS: Linux Debian 9+
- Supported server: Apache 2 or newer
- PHP 7.0 to PHP 7.3
- MySQL 5.5+, MariaDB 10.2+
- PHP extensions: GD, PDO MySQL, SQLite3, SimpleXML, Curl, DOM, iconv, mbstring, mod_rewrite, readline, common, cli.
- PHP cURL with HTTP/2 support (Apple HTTP/2 push) for both the webserver and the cli
- PHP settings (php.ini) :
- functions: exec() , allow url_fopen
- memory_limit=512M
- upload_max_filesize=100M
- post_max_size=100M
- Zip
- Unzip
- Wget
- OpenSSL 1.0.1 minimum
- glibc >= 2.14
- Recommended: If you don’t know how to setup a webserver, we recommend you to choose VestaCP https://www.myvestacp.com/ as a panel, and Plesk as a second choice.
Hardware requirements:
Single-App Edition (SAE):
- A Virtual Private Server (VPS) with a CPU from 1 vCore and 2GB of RAM.
Multi-Apps Edition (MAE):
- Type of server: Virtual Private Server (VPS) or Dedicated Server (no Shared servers)
- SSH Root access for technical support
- CPU: starting with 1-2 vCore
- RAM memory: starting with 4-8 GB
- Disk space: starting with 20GB
- Bandwidth: starting with 100Mbps/unlimited or 1TB of bandwidth per month.
Platform Edition (PE):
- Type of server: Virtual Private Server (VPS) or Dedicated Server (no Shared servers).
- SSH Root access for technical support
- CPU:starting with 2-4 vCore
- RAM memory:starting with 8-16 GB
- Disk space:starting with 20GB (40GB recommended)
- Bandwidth:starting with 100Mbps/unlimited or 1TB of bandwidth per month.
Recommended VPS servers:
We recommend usually the VPS provided by OVH (“Essential” offer 2 at least) or Contabo (VPS S at least) because they represent the best quality-price ratio:
This way your server will be completely set up and ready to host your Siberian edition.
